How to learn Hindi through English

 


Hello guys, 

Welcome to my blog 'hindifromindia'. Before starting our journey towards learning Hindi through English, let me introduce myself. My name is Sumit Kumar. I am professionally a Hindi teacher settled in India. My love for Hindi language dragged myself into creating this blog to help people specially those whose mother language is not Hindi or those who are non natives. 

I will emphasize importance of Hindi on some other day, today my intention to write this article is to make you understand in fact believe that learning Hindi for a non native is not a big task. Hindi is so beautiful language that once you start to learn day by day it becomes easy.

Speaking any language is always easier than writing it. If you are starting to learn writing skill in Hindi, you will have to start with BARAHKHADI. 

Now what is this BARAHKHADI??  

Actually if you see in English we add consonants with vowels to mean something. In the same way in Hindi also we add consonants which are called व्यंजन in Hindi with vowels which are called स्वर. For example if we add one consonant क with all vowels of Hindi it will be like this-

क+ अ = क (pronunciation  ka)

क+ आ= का (pronunciation  kaa) 

same way 

क+ इ= कि (pronunciation  ki)

क+ई= की (pronunciation  kee)

Like this we make twelve forms for each consonants. for consonant क it will be like this

क, का, कि,की, कु,कू,के, कै, को, कौ, कं, कः

Gender in Hindi, How to find Gender in Hindi? what is ling?

 Hello guys, Today I will talk about a very important topic which  is extremely important for people who want to learn Hindi. I have seen people who are from non Hindi areas often feel problem in finding correct form of gender for words  in Hindi. So what is ling ? what is gender in hindi?  In English gender is not a problem as verbs don't change according to the gender of subjects. For example Ram eats mango. Seeta eats mango. in these two sentences whether ram or Seeta, gender of subject does not affect 'eats'. That is why English is considered an easy language. In Hindi this is not the case. here verb changes as per subject of the sentence. for example- राम आम खाता है| सीता आम खाती है|  now you see aam (mango) is same,  but verb khaatee hai, or khaataa hai are used as per gender.
